NAD injections?
An NAD injection is a dose of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide — the coenzyme your cells use to make energy and repair themselves — given as a small subcutaneous injection instead of a capsule, so it does not have to survive digestion. Members most often describe steadier daytime energy, easier mornings, clearer thinking and better recovery from training, usually over the first few weeks. It is not a stimulant, so there is no lift and no crash.
- That is set by your physician, not by a box. Protocols are written as a dose, a number of days a week and a cycle length, based on your intake and your labs, and they usually start low and step up. The milligram number on a vial or pen is the total the container holds, not one dose.
- Subcutaneously — into the fat layer, typically the abdomen or outer thigh, rotating sites. Your physician and the pharmacy send the technique and handling instructions written for your exact preparation, and your first dose can be walked through on a visit if you would rather not do it alone.
- Under a physician, with pharmacy-grade material, the common effects are mild and happen during administration: flushing, warmth or a feeling of chest tightness if a dose goes in too fast or too high.
